PVC Installation Process

Roof Inspection and Preparation

Installing the Insulation Layer

Laying Down the PVC Membrane

Securing the Membrane

Heat-Welding the Seams

One of the critical steps in PVC roofing installation is heat-welding the seams. A hot-air welding tool is used to melt the overlapping edges of the PVC sheets, creating a strong, watertight bond. This process ensures that the roof is leak-proof, as welded seams are more durable than adhesives or tapes used in other roofing types.

Detailing and Finishing

Once the main membrane is installed, the roof’s details—such as edges, corners, vents, and drains—are carefully sealed using additional PVC flashing. These areas are also heat-welded to ensure a seamless, waterproof finish. Finally, the roof is inspected to ensure all seams are properly welded, and any excess materials are trimmed away.
